ABSTRACT

Automated carts in the hospitals that can help the patients with their preliminary needs are new tech introduction to the world. Today's world is facing the worst ever time of the history caused by the deadly contagious virus named Corona Virus (COVID-19). Keeping a good distance with proper precautions will address the problem in the more suitable minimizing way to not getting infected. Commercially developed carts are still not available in the hospitals. This paper presents the development of an automated cart which can be manually controlled by remote or it can follow the line and can deliver the necessary goods and medicine to the patients. The purpose of this research is to introduce autonomous vehicle in the hospitals keeping in mind that it can help covid-19 patients minimizing the contact of medical personnel with the patients. This research aims to design a microcontroller and sensor based automated cart in the hospitals. No human intervention is required during its task execution while it's on the line following mode. Safety measures are provided to AGC by using sensor for obstacle detection to avoid collision. © 2021 IEEE.
